Karen Skinner is the Associate Director for Public Services for the Wise Law Library and Assistant Teaching Professor at Colorado Law. As Associate Director, she serves as part of the library's administrative team and oversees the library's departments providing faculty services, student outreach, and instruction. Skinner also teaches several legal research courses throughout the academic year. She joined Colorado Law in summer 2024.

Before moving to Colorado, Skinner spent 14 years at the University of Southern California where she was Senior Law Librarian - Research Services and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law. While at USC, she managed and administered the law school's 1L legal research curriculum. Skinner received a BA from The Ohio State University, majoring in both Criminology and International Studies. She earned a JD from Capital University Law School, and an MS in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Skinner obtained an MS in Library Science from Indiana University at Bloomington.
