Are you an undergraduate student who is curious about disruptive pedagogies, has an interest in or experience with consulting, and is equity-minded? Do you have insights about how instructors might respond to the continuous disruptions of generative AI?
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is hiring a team of undergraduate student consultants to partner with faculty to improve the teaching and learning experience through the 鈥Students as Pedagogical Partners鈥 initiative. This initiative positions students as collaborators with faculty, staff, and peers in transforming the educational experience. Through interdependent partnerships, undergraduate students and faculty collaborate to develop, revise, or co-create course content, develop strategies to make learning more accessible, and co-design projects.听

- Contributing a student鈥檚 perspective through collaborative partnerships;
- Negotiating conflict and differences in perspectives;
- Collecting data, compiling artifacts, and providing formative and summative feedback on their experiences.
- This is an ideal experience for those who are self-starters, feel comfortable working on emergent projects, and desire to exercise self-advocacy, autonomy, and agency.

- Pedagogical training about the Students as Partners framework, course design, and equitable teaching and learning approaches.
- Guidance on exercising interdependence, communication, and analytical skillsets.
- Experience in project collaboration, curriculum design, peer-to-peer engagement, and other marketable post-graduation skills
- Experience translating data on student perspectives on AI into actionable changes in the classroom.

- Year-long appointment.
- Approximately 8 to 10 hours per week.
- Compensation is $18.00 per hour.
