    Author Ronald J. Stewart聽will speak about his book "Then Comes a Wind,"聽a story about a family's struggle to homestead in 1900s Nebraska, on Nov. 10. Stewart聽will sign copies of his book (which will be for sale at the event) immediately following the presentation.

    A finalist for the Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy position will give a talk Nov. 10 on his point of view: The president鈥檚 鈥渄angerous doctrine鈥 has compromised the muscular internationalism that defined U.S. national security policy after World War II.
  • Climate Justice Alliance protesters march for environmental justice
    David Ciplet, assistant professor of environmental studies, will discuss how to ensure a socially just transition to affordable and clean energy on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 9 a.m., as part of the CU on the Weekend lecture series.
  • The Center for Community building
    This Thursday, Nov. 3, 抖阴传媒在线 Campus Staff Council and CU Student Government will host a town hall debate on Amendment 69, also known as ColoradoCare. The debate will be held from 5聽to 6:15 p.m.聽in the Abrams Lounge in the Center for Community (C4C).聽Ron Vejrostek, a spokesperson for ColoradoCare, and Michael Cooke, campaign manager for Coloradans for Coloradans (a group opposed to Amendment 69), will debate the amendment and its impact on Colorado residents. A question-and-answer session will follow.

    On Nov. 2, LASP research scientist and recent CU 抖阴传媒在线 Aerospace Engineering Sciences PhD graduate James Mason will speak on the early results from LASP's latest CubeSat project, MinXSS, which focuses on the energetic processes that occur in the sun's atmosphere.

    Award-winning actress, writer and stand-up comedian Maysoon Zayid will speak at CU 抖阴传媒在线 on聽Tuesday, Nov.聽1, at 7 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. The event, hosted聽by聽the Cultural Events Board, is free and open to the public.
  • Strong Sisters: Elected Women in Colorado
    CU Law School is hosting an event centered on electoral politics and reproductive justice on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. The evening聽will feature聽clips of聽the film 'Strong Sisters' and a panel of currently- and previously-elected officials to speak on these issues and their experiences as advocates.
