Seven sponsors have joined the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit to be held Dec. 1–4 at the ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß.

The Colorado Art Science Environment Fellows are artists from all corners of Colorado and CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß scientists who will work in teams to produce artworks that will be exhibited at the Colorado State Capitol.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. has become the first historically Black fraternity to return and officially register at CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß. The fraternity is part of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, commonly known as the Divine Nine.

The annual Institute of International Education's Open Doors report, released Nov. 14, highlights CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß’s continued presence as a top university host of international students and sender of students abroad.

The rejection of Ballot Question 2F means the CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß South site remains within ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß’s city limits and the city’s flood protection project—among other aspects of the annexation agreement—can continue to move forward. 

Christina Cain, Heather Cracraft, Jasimine Evans and Debbie Yeh are being recognized for their exceptional service and contributions to the CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß community.

The diversity of disciplines represented by these 17 faculty members highlights the range of excellence in research, scholarship and creative work taking place at CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß.

Congratulations to Peyton Hall Magalhaes, cello, who won first prize in the Bruce Ekstrand Memorial Graduate Student Performance Competition. Soprano Anna McMahon was awarded second prize, and other finalists included Logan Banister, alto saxophone; Lauren Flaten, flute; and Rebecca Ortiz, trumpet.

Peter Pilewskie, a senior researcher and faculty member, has been named to a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s committee that supports scientific progress on research requiring global data best acquired from space.

AB Nexus has announced its fifth round of grant awards to researchers from the CU Anschutz and CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß campuses.
