Postdoctoral Position Available:

We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on biophysical experimental problems related to mucus mechanics and transport, mucus–bacteria interactions, and/or mucus–cilia interactions. The researcher will be expected to design and perform experiments, collaborate with lab members, analyze data, and contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts.

The position is for one year, with the possibility of extension for additional years depending on the availability of funding and mutual agreement. The anticipated start date is August 17, 2026. The annual salary is $66,000, and relocation expenses up to $2,000 will be reimbursed. The position also includes benefits, which are described in the application link below.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Biophysics, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or a related discipline, with an interdisciplinary background.
  • Experience in experimental biophysics or soft matter research.
  • Experience with image processing, particle detection and tracking, and data analysis, or strong programming skills that would allow rapid acquisition of these techniques.
  • Strong scientific writing skills, with demonstrated contribution to the writing of published papers.
