Summer 2026 HyperDrive Program
for Summer 2026 are now open!
Join us this summer to be a part of HYPERDRIVE, our COSGC SummerÌýResearch Internship Program. HYPERDRIVE is a paid summer research experience programÌýopen to allÌýColorado Space Grant students. The goal of HYPERDRIVE is to give Space Grant students an authentic research experience at CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß.Ìý The programÌýallows studentsÌýto explore space science and aerospace engineering and gain the confidence in the STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) disciplines to enter the workforce or graduate school.
Six students will receive a bi-weekly stipend to conduct field- or lab-based research over a ten-week period in the summer (May 26 - July 31, 2026) while working with a team of scientists, undergraduate, and graduate students. Students learn basic research and communication skills, and they present their research at a local student science symposium.

Applicants must:

- Be a US Citizen
- Attend a Colorado Space Grant affiliate college/university
- Have completed at leastÌýtwo science or engineering classes
- Be available for 10 weeks, working full-time, and commuting to the CU-¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß campus.
This is a paid, commuter, full-time research experience:
- You will earn a summer stipend of $7500, paid bi-weekly
Students from community colleges and rural areas are particularly encouraged to apply. We seek applicants from a wide range of experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds.Ìý Application is open until March 15. Acceptance notification by mid April.
