Jason Bennett ThatcherÌýis the Tandean Rustandy Esteemed Professor at the Leeds School of Business, ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß. He is also a Full Professor of Management Science at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, and an Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.

His research examines how individuals, organizations, and societies use information technology, with a focus on cybersecurity, social media, digital work, and senior leadership. His work appears in leading journals, including MIS QuarterlyÌýand Information Systems Research, as well as the Journal of Applied PsychologyÌýand the Journal of Management. His research has received more than 23,000 citations according to Google Scholar.

He has maintained a sustained record of publication in MIS QuarterlyÌýand Information Systems ResearchÌýsince earning his PhD. His work has made sustained contributions to information systems and management research by advancing a behaviorally grounded view of technology use, establishing digital traces as a mechanism shaping evaluation and decision-making, and developing a behavioral foundation for cybersecurity and digital risk. Across these areas, his research connects individual actions to organizational and societal outcomes.

He is recognized for sustained research impact and scholarly leadership, is a Fellow of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), and has been ranked the #1 scholar on the AIS Senior Scholars’ Basket of Six journals five times. He also engages directly with policy and practice, including co-leading the academic track of the Paris Defense and Strategy Forum, an international forum on security, defense, and technological change.

Jason currently serves as a Senior Editor for MIS QuarterlyÌýand previously served in senior editorial roles at Information Systems ResearchÌýand Decision Sciences. He has also held leadership roles in the field, including serving as President of the Association for Information Systems.

He has chaired or advised more than 20 PhD dissertations across North America, Europe, and Asia and collaborates extensively with scholars across the United States, Europe, and Asia. He is actively engaged in mentoring doctoral students and early-career scholars.
