Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) at the Leeds School of Business

For over 16 years, the Leeds School of Business in ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß, Colorado has partnered with the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to help qualified ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß County residents file over 4,200 returns.Ìý

This service is provided by appointment only and at no cost to the local community from February 20 through April 11, 2026. This program utilizes student and faculty volunteers from Leeds and the CU Law School, who work one-on-one with low-income residents to prepare tax filings each season.Ìý

To determine if you qualify for this service, please read . Trained volunteers at the site will be able to help you determine your eligibility for tax benefits such as:

  • The earned income tax credit
  • Child tax credit
  • OBBBA Tax Law Changes for 2025 (Enhanced Senior Deduction, Tip Income, etc.)Ìý

To Participate in VITA Between February 20 - April 11, 2026, Follow These Steps:

  1. To determine if you qualify for this service, please readÌý
    1. People who generally make $69,000 or less
    2. Persons with disabilities; and
    3. Limited English-speaking taxpayers

Parking Information:Ìý

  1. We look forward to assisting you with your tax preparation at the CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß VITA clinic. To ensure a smooth arrival, please review the parking options below. Please note that we do not provide parking for clients, and all campus lots require payment or a pre-purchased permit.

    Recommended Parking for the Koelbel Building: the following lots offer the most convenient access (events may impact availability in certain lots)

    Short-Term "Pay-to-Park" (Hourly):

    • Lot 421 & Lot 440: These are the closest short-term lots to Koelbel. You can pay at the kiosks or via the ParkMobile app using your license plate number.

    Daily Commuter Permits (Pre-Purchase Required):

    • Lot 430, Lot 436, or Lot 327: If you prefer to secure your spot in advance, you can purchase a 1-day permit through the CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Parking Portal.

    Accessible (ADA) Parking: ADA parking spots are available in both Commuter and Pay-to-Park lots. Please note that these spots require the same paid permits or hourly payments as standard stalls, in addition to the display of a valid government-issued placard or plate.

    Alternative Transport: To avoid the hassle of campus parking entirely, we encourage using public transportation (RTD) or a ride-share service (Uber/Lyft).
