Undergraduate Student Assistant I
"The Falke lab is looking for up to four undergraduate Student Assistant I / Semi-Skilled Honors students to work 10-20 hours per week, beginning Winter Break 2025-2026.
Lab duties:ÌýÌý(i) Participate in team purifications of mutant Ras proteins. Ìý(ii) Carry out microscale thermophoresis binding assays to quantify Kd values for the binding of mutant Ras proteins to a target protein. Ìý(iii) Analyze binding data and present results in lab meetings. Ìý(iv) ÌýAgree to carry out honors thesis research and participate in the Biochemstry departmental Honors Program. Ìý(v) Be a good lab citizen who carries out rigorous and reproducible research for publication.
Minimum qualifications:ÌýSome familiarity with the Ras protein, the steps involved in its purification, and microscale thermophoresis.
Start date:Ìý This summer appointment will begin during Winter Break 2025-2026 and will continue into the Spring semester and Summer break.
Hourly salary: Ìý$17.00

Biochemistry Events & Administrative Student Assistant Position
The Biochemistry Department seeks to hire an undergraduate Biochemistry major student assistant.
Student Assistant Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist with undergraduate events, catering, set-up/clean-up, commencement, end of year celebration, surplus and inventory, website and Instagram maintenance. Assist with lab tours including professor and graduate student introductions. This is a great opportunity to learn about the Biochemistry department's community.
Qualified candidates will have excellent communications skills, strong independent work ethic, detail oriented, and willing to help in a variety of situations. Candidates must be able to lift and set up tables.
Work schedule: Approximately 10-15 hours per week. A consistent work schedule will be established based on available hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. customized to fit your academic schedule. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
Start Date: Spring 2026, expected to continue for multiple semesters. Hourly pay of $17.00.

Responsibilities will include to provide in-person, one-on-one sessions, help student improve their knowledge of the course material, provide a comfortable and supportive learning environment, maintain consistent communication with the student, and maintain consistent communication with the Undergraduate Program Coordinator.
Qualifications: Minimum of 3.0 GPA, Minimum of a B+ in the tutoring course. Full time CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß student who is at least a sophomore, passionate about course content and has the desire to share with other students, desire to teach/share study skills for students’ own success. Work with limited supervision.
Start Date: Spring 2026, expected to continue for multiple semesters. Hourly pay of $20.00.
