CU-¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß joins city in "I Love ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß" campaign
The ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß, the city of ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß and local organizations have partnered to launch a community "I Love ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß" campaign to kick off a year of celebration about what those who call ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß home love most about the city.
The "community-owned" campaign, launching today, is designed to be viral and invites business and individuals to integrate the "I Love ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß" campaign into their existing marketing efforts to leverage the power of the community to tell their own story.
"¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß is one of the best and most beautiful university towns in America," said CU-¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano. "The combined cultural, artistic, recreational and intellectual resources are unparalleled, and the quality of life on campus and in the city is unmatched. I have lived here for nearly 40 years and am still in awe of this amazing community."
The website will function as a centralized location to share ideas and see what others love about ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß. The city will leverage technology to pull tweets, videos and photos tagged with the campaign into the website for others to view.
CU-¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß joins a number of organizations who have already agreed to incorporate the theme into their messaging or annual marketing plans, including the ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Public Library and the ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Valley School District, whose students will produce short films about their ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß experiences and create art about their favorite ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß places. CU-¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß students are invited to do the same.
City officials say the identity system is intended to be given away to the community with the hope that it will be repurposed, reinvented, and used in new and original ways. Ultimately, this campaign is for the community.
