Here are some tips to help you in your search, but remember—you don’t have to do everything at once. Choose what works best for you.Ìý

Saved searches can save you a lot of time. Instead of checking job boards every day, set up alerts so new opportunities come straight to you.Ìý

All current CU students already have a Handshake account. In Handshake, you can:Ìý

  • Filter jobs by industry, location or roleÌý
  • Save your search so you’re notified when new positions are postedÌý
  • Customize how often you receive email alertsÌý

You can even create multiple saved searches if you’re exploring different fields or locations.Ìý


ÌýÌýStay one step aheadÌý

Being prepared makes it easier to apply quickly when a great opportunity pops up.ÌýÌý

Before you apply:Ìý

  • Create a resume and cover letter template you can easily customizeÌý
  • Highlight your , experience and accomplishmentsÌý

Additionally, knowing how to clearly talk about your experiences can help you stand out.Ìý
