PISEC supports broader impacts through providing professional development opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, training them to engage in effective science communication, STEM pedagogy, and mentorship. The program facilitates community partnerships with local schools, providing opportunities for children to explore pathways to STEM and engage in authentic scientific practice in community with their CU mentors. PISEC is committed to assessment, evaluation, and research of informal physics education, working to develop tools and products to strengthen the informal STEM education community at large.
