Program Action Form

Use the CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß on Coursera to indicate learning goals, officially declare a degree or certificate, set your primary degree or certificate, or permanently discontinue your degree or certificate. Learn more about each of these actions below.

Indicate learning goal selection(s) to be used by your program(s) and Coursera for marketing and internal outreach.Ìý

Your official declaration selections are required in order to pursue a pathway towards admission in a specific degree program or to pursue a certificate.ÌýÌý

Official declarations will also allow you to review progress on your degree audit towards your degree(s) and certificate(s).Ìý

If you're already active in two or more CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß on Coursera programs and need to set or update your primary degree program or certificate program, please officially declare the degree-seeking program at the same time that you set a primary program when submitting the CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß on Coursera .

OnlyÌýoneÌýdeclared degree program andÌýoneÌýdeclared certificate program can be set as your primary and you are not required to permanently discontinue previous programs.ÌýPlease note:

  • All programs begin in a nondegree seeking status.
  • Performance-based admission earned in one program is not transferable to another program. You'll need to earn performance-based admission in the new program.
  • Only classes/credits accepted in the new program will count towards degree completion, but all grades earned at the graduate level will still be counted in your GPA.
  • Academic standing applies to all graduate programs.
  • Graduate School rules do not allow double counting of credits for credentials of the same level, i.e., a course cannot fulfill a credit for two master’s programs or two certificates. It can only be used towards one certificate and one master’s degree.

If you’re enrolled in a CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß on Coursera program but wish to permanently discontinue the program, submit an official discontinue request using the CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß on Coursera .

Students are automatically discontinued if they don’t enroll in any CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß on Coursera programs after two years.

If you’re only enrolled in one CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß on Coursera program and currently enrolled in classes, you'll need to drop all active classes through CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß on Coursera before submitting a permanent discontinue request.

If you choose to permanently discontinue a program, you'll no longer be eligible for certificates or degrees from that program.

Maximum Unit Overload Petition

According to CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Graduate School policy, graduate students may not register for more than 15 units during any one semester. The maximum of 15 units per semester applies to total units taken in Session 1 and 2 for CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß on Coursera students.

Students who have met the minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 and have demonstrated a record of academic success are eligible to submit aÌý two weeks before theÌýsession enrollment deadline.ÌýIt'll be reviewed by both your program and the Graduate School. Please allow up to 10 business days for a final decision.
