Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid
Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid will teach you how to recognize and respond to adult, infant and child victims in various emergency situations. This course offers a two-year certification in American Red Cross adult, infant and child CPR, use of an Automated External Defibrillator, and standard first aid precautions.

In order to receive certification, class participants are required to complete online pre-class work through the American Red Cross and attend all in-person sessions. Online content will be emailed to registered participants in the week leading up to the start date of the in-person sessions.

Lifeguard Certification Course
In order to receive certification, class participants are required to complete online pre-class work through the American Red Cross and attend all in-person sessions. Online content will be emailed to registered participants in the week leading up to the start date of the in-person sessions.
This course certifies individuals as American Red Cross lifeguards. Participants will learn the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. Participants will also receive training in First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
This certification is accepted nationwide and is valid for two years. Participants must attend all classes in a session to complete the training. Participants must be 15 years-old by the last day of class to be eligible.

Prerequisite 1:ÌýComplete a swim-tread-swim sequence without stopping to rest. * Jump into the water and totally submerge, resurface then swim 150 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both. Swimming on the back or side is not permitted. Swim goggles are allowed.
- Maintain position at the surface of the water for two minutes by treading water using only the legs.
- Swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both.
Prerequisite 2: Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds. * Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed.
- Surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7-10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object.
- Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, holding the object at the surface with both hands and keeping the face out at or near the surface.
- Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

Lifeguard Training: Recertification
Proof of current certification is required on the first day, and attendance at all sessions is mandatory. This recertification course is for lifeguards with a current American Red Cross certification or one that expired within the last 30 days. The class uses a blended learning format, requiring completion of online coursework before in-person sessions. The adaptive platform personalizes content and may allow testing out of certain modules. All required online pre-class work must be completed through the American Red Cross.
