The Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) and Campus Controller’s Office (CCO) are excited to share the updatedÌýRoles & Responsibilities (R&R) Matrix for sponsored projects. The R&R Matrix was originally developed over 10 years ago and was updated starting in April 2025 with a working group of members from OCG, CCO, Department Research Administrators, and feedback from the Program Management and Research Security and Integrity offices.

The following are highlights of the updates:

• The biggest change is the R&R Matrix format, which has been moved from a webpage table to Microsoft Lists, accessible to everyone with a CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Microsoft 365 login. Microsoft Lists provides a new visual format and capabilities;
• Addition of responsibilities related to Service Agreements, Other Agreement Types, and research security;
• Addition of Program Management Office role;
• Identifying OCG and Research Financial Services (RFS) teams where individual teams can be identified with responsibilities;
• Additional links to resources;
• Updates throughout to wording and changes in roles and compliance.
