The Center for Neuroscience serves as a nodal administrative structure the purposes of which are to organize and foster the development of neuroscience research and teaching at CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß. The center faculty members are affiliated with 13 different departments and institutes at CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß. The Center for Neuroscience:Â
- Administers the CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Neuroscience PhD program
- Fosters interdisciplinary interdepartmental research and interaction
- Obtains both federal and corporate funds to support the development of neuroscience at CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß
- Acts as a focal point for interaction with the neuroscience community at large such as national organizations and programs at other universities
- Fosters interest in neuroscience among undergraduates at CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß
