Chase Logsdon is a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in the Idea Forge Machine Shop. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß in 2015 and has built his career around turning ideas into manufacturable, functional products. With a passion for hands-on engineering and practical problem-solving, Chase enjoys helping students bridge the gap between design and fabrication while building the confidence to tackle complex engineering challenges.

At the Idea Forge, Chase specializes in design for manufacturing (DFM), ideation, assembly integration, and troubleshooting. He works closely with student teams throughout the entire product development process—from early brainstorming and concept refinement to engineering drawings, manufacturing, assembly, and final integration. His favorite part of the job is guiding students as they transform ambitious ideas into finished parts and assemblies, while helping them develop the technical skills and mindset needed to succeed as engineers.

Outside of work, Chase enjoys spending time outdoors with his dog, Roo, and is always taking on a new home improvement project. Whether he's building, repairing, or exploring, he enjoys working with his hands and finding practical solutions to challenging problems.
