The International Affairs Program (IAFS) at the ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß is an interdisciplinary major and minor in the College of Arts and Sciences that prepares students to understand and address the complex issues shaping our world.

Why study International Affairs at CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß?
IAFS combines regional expertise, language study and interdisciplinary coursework so students can understand global issues from multiple perspectives and apply that knowledge in real-world settings.

Through IAFS, students:

  • Explore global issues from multiple perspectives through courses in anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science and other disciplines across campus.
  • Examine key global themes through coursework in four functional areas: development and culture; international economics and political economy; political geography, international security and foreign policy; and institutions, rights and norms.
  • Develop regional expertise by choosing a geographic concentration: Africa & the Middle East, Asia, Europe & Eurasia, or Latin America.
  • Build language proficiency connected to their region of study.
  • Customize their academic path with opportunities to study abroad, complete internships, pursue certificates, and graduate with honors.
