Berit Jany co-edits translation of Friedrich Dürrenmatt play
Dr. Berit Jany (GSLL, CU ¶¶Òõ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß) and Dr. Maxwell Kennel (Northern Ontario S. o. M. University) co-edited a translation of The Anabaptists: A Comedy in Two ActsÌý(written by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, trans. by Lauren Friesen). The play is a rewritten version of Dürrenmatt’s first drama (It is Written) and draws on the historical events of the Anabaptists of Münster in 1533-1534 to produce a cautionary parable about human deceivability.
