CU ��ý�� is constructing a new academic facility aimed at advancing research and educational opportunities in chemistry and applied mathematics on the southeast side of the Business School Field along Regent Drive on Main Campus. The facility will host modern research laboratories for chemistry, applied mathematics and specialized quantum research, supporting research missions in analytical spectroscopy, environmental chemistry and computational mathematics.

Upcoming construction at the University Memorial Center will improve the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system; the Campus Dining & Hospitality loading dock; and pavement between it and the neighboring Center for Academic Success and Engagement (CASE).

Dining options will be limited in spring 2026 while the UMC undergoes several construction projects. Alferd Packer Grill, Panda Express, Starbucks and several other spaces will be closed during construction. Learn more about closures and alternative places to get food.

Beginning the week of September 22 and running through mid-November, the City of ��ý�� will be making improvements to the medians on Broadway between College and Marine. These improvements will include installing new irrigation piping, planting new vegetation, and repairing some concrete components of the medians. During this period, there may be one-lane closures on Broadway to accommodate the crews and their equipment. Closures will be limited to Monday through Friday, 8am to 3 or 4pm. The City will do everything possible to have both northbound lanes open for the morning commute and both southbound lanes open for the PM commute.

The CU Museum of Natural History in the Henderson building will be temporarily closed through the end of 2025 to align with the final phase of the Hellems renovation. Both buildings will reopen together at the end of 2025—refreshed and ready to welcome students, campus, and visitors.

Construction of the Colorado Highway 119 Safety, Mobility and Bikeway Improvements Project has started and will be ongoing through 2027. Once complete, the corridor will have improved bike and bus facilities, and safer and more efficient intersections for all users. In the short term, The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) , the Regional Transportation District (RTD) and ��ý�� County will be working together to mitigate traffic congestion, delays and crashes and expand transportation options throughout this project. Your usual travel route may be impacted by construction, traffic delays and increased congestion throughout the project.

Immediate impacts:

Niwot Park-n-ride lot will close temporarily, but bus stops will remain active.
Bus stops at north and southbound CO 119 and bus stops at CO 52 (near IBM) will close beginning Sept. 29.
Additionally, there will be lane closures at various times near the following intersections: Jay Road, CO 52, 71st Street, Niwot Road, Oxford Road, 83rd Street, and Airport and Connector roads

Residence One will be the first new, modern housing building to open in the area, North ��ý�� Creek (NBC). It will house 332 upper division students in on-campus apartment-style housing. It will provide neighborhood amenities such as a café, UPS store, and a variety of study space that will serve the students within the surrounding NBC community. Construction is underway as of April 2024 and will continue until summer of 2026. More information on Residence One can be found here.
