Apple’s Private Wi-Fi Address feature, introduced in macOS Sequoia and updated for iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, could cause connectivity issues for CU ��ý�� Wi-Fi networks if not set to “off.” The same could be true of the latest versions of watchOS and visionOS.

Since the CU ��ý�� Wi-Fi networks, UCB Wireless and UCB Guest, require users to register their device, rotating or changing your MAC address will force the device to go through the network registration process each time the MAC address changes. This could result in your devices frequently dropping their network connection. This issue may be most apparent when using the CU ��ý��’s iClicker service on your iPhone. This is why for UCB Wireless and UCB Guest, and even eduroam, OIT strongly recommends turning the Private Wi-Fi Address setting to “off” on these networks.

We’re excited to invite you to a Tree Tour with Outdoor Services and Vince Aquino and his amazing team of arborists! They’ll be sharing their knowledge and stories about the trees that make our campus so special.

This is a community engagement event hosted in partnership with IROCC and Facilities Management, and it’s a great chance to connect with colleagues, enjoy the outdoors, and learn something new.

Career Services has a photo booth that’s available to undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty and staff in need of a high-quality professional photo for a LinkedIn or other professional networking platform. The photo booth is located in the lobby of Career Services, S440 in the C4C, and is available during business hours, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The photo booth can be controlled from your smartphone by scanning a QR code. It will take three shots while offering advice on how to pose for an effective professional portrait. You can do some limited retouching on the Iris screen with the photo booth’s software or more retouching on your own device with any photo manipulation program after you receive the files via email.

We would like to inform you of an upcoming upgrade to Meridian that may affect your current interface and workflow.

For PowerUser Interface Users:

The upgrade introduces several changes to the interface which is now called PowerWeb, including updates to functionality and the location of key features. To support this transition, we will be offering in-person training sessions at RL2, lasting approximately one hour. We are currently finalizing the schedule, with sessions expected to take place either the last week of September or within the first two weeks of October. A follow-up email will be sent shortly with available dates and sign-up details.

For Meridian Explorer Interface Users:

The interface will remain largely unchanged. However, you will need to update your URL to access the upgraded system. Specific instructions will be provided closer to the deployment date.

We appreciate your patience as we work through the final details. A subsequent communication will be sent once the training and deployment plans are confirmed.

Since January, we’ve been working to integrate Infrastructure and Resilience (I&R) with Finance and Business Strategy (FBS). This integration is designed to strengthen collaboration, streamline operations, and align our goals more effectively. Thanks to your dedication and collaboration, we are making good progress.

Now, it’s time to take the next step—giving our new division a name that reflects our shared identity and purpose.

We are officially launching a division naming contest to select a name that embodies our “One Team” spirit and the values we bring to CU ��ý��. This is your opportunity to help shape how we present ourselves to the campus and beyond.

Here’s what you need to know:

Selection process: Votes and submissions will be reviewed by the new division leadership team and a final name announced later this fall.

Please note: This naming contest is for the new division that oversees both FBS and I&R. The name Infrastructure and Resilience is not changing—your unit identity remains intact. This effort is about creating a unified name for the division as a whole, not renaming individual units.
