Update: Meridian Deployment scheduled for Wed. Oct. 29
The Meridian deployment is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29th.
What is Meridian?
Meridian is our PDC department’s document management system, used primarily to store, organize, and access contracts, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation. While not everyone in the department uses Meridian directly, it plays a vital role behind the scenes — supporting construction projects and compliance efforts across campus.
This upcoming system upgrade will make Meridian easier to access and more efficient for those who rely on it daily. Even if you don’t use Meridian yourself, this deployment helps ensure our PDC team has the tools they need to keep their projects running smoothly.
What to Expect:
- System Access: Meridian will be temporarily unavailable during the deployment window. Specific details regarding timing of deployment and preparation needed by those who use the system will be sent out directly to those users early next week.
- New Features: Post-deployment, users will see enhancements in the PowerWeb interface. Meridian Explorer will remain the same. The new system will be web based and no longer require a Remote Desktop for access.
- Support: A deployment support team will be available to assist with any issues or questions that arise.
