Date: Friday February 6 and Saturday February 7, 2026
Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Location: Koebel Rm 102

Join industry experts in a hands-on two-day workshop in clean energy project finance. Students will learn project finance concepts, gain highly sought-after modeling skills, take a deep dive into quantitative analysis in clean energy investment, and learn about consulting, development, and investment career paths in the clean energy sector. Students will leave this workshop having built an industry-standard financial model for valuation and financing of a renewable energy project.

Please note, this workshop includes a pre-course exercise that will be due before the beginning of the program. To get the most out of the workshop please be prepared to spend time on a modeling project between the first and second workshop sessions. Group work is encouraged!

Lunch will be provided on Friday and Saturday.

****Students should have basic excel proficiency and an understanding debt and equity financing prior to attending this workshop

Looking to compete against top MBA students to tackle real-world sustainability challenges?

The Leeds Sustainability Case Competition brings together graduate students, executives, and businesses that share a common commitment to innovative business practices that yield positive social, environmental, and financial returns. It is not enough for businesses to solely focus on profits. Business plans must prioritize environmental and social factors as well. The LSCC provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate their problem-solving abilities through a multidisciplinary approach to sustainability-focused professionals and companies. This year’s case, Warehouse of the Future, is sponsored by Iron Mountain in partnership with Janus Henderson Investors and ClimateCAP.

All team members must be currently enrolled in a graduate program, including at least one team member seeking a graduate-level business degree. Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged. CU and Leeds teams can register for free with a given code - contact lscc@colorado.edu for details! Registration closes on December 7. Led by Texas A&M University in partnership with the Daniels Fund, the National Ethics Case Competition empowers students to strengthen their leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills all while competing for $250,000 total prize pool.

Join us for the 2026 March Debate Madness Tournament — a single-elimination, head-to-head business ethics showdown open to all CU ��ý�� students!

New to debate? No problem! This event is designed to be low-pressure, fast-paced, and fun!

Each round, ethical leadership topics from crypto to climate are drawn randomly, and a coin flip assigns you to argue the pro or con side. You’ll get a few minutes to research on your phone, plus you can lean on any existing knowledge. Judges want to see how you think, reason, and lead ethically in real time.

Whether you’re an undergrad trying something new or a grad student looking for a competitive edge, we’ve got a bracket for you. Winners move on each week until the champion is crowned.

As climate change becomes a central business issue, understanding carbon markets is a critical skill for tomorrow's corporate leaders. This workshop will give you a clear understanding of how carbon markets work, why they’re crucial for tackling climate change, and how they impact business strategy. Dinner provided.

Taught by Mairi-Jane Fox, a dynamic presenter, social entrepreneur, and sustainable finance expert who is always popular with students.

Mairi-Jane Fox, PhD is a sustainability strategist and expert in impact investing, innovative finance, and ecological economics. She currently serves as Director of Training at the Center for Sustainable Private Wealth.

Her career spans roles at the forefront of sustainability, climate innovation, and financing solutions for a regenerative economy. She was a Fellow at the Innovative Finance Initiative, and has served on the leadership team at Arbor Day Carbon, a carbon markets startup, where she led the demand team focused on corporate carbon strategy. She also served as the first ESG Director at Techstars, a global pre-seed venture capital firm and startup accelerator, and as a professor of economics and finance at Regis University's Anderson School of Business, where she directed the Sustainable Economic Enterprise Development (SEED) institute.

With a PhD in natural resources and MS in ecological economics, Mairi-Jane has over two decades of experience working with organizations across sectors on sustainability strategy, nature-based climate solutions, and participatory stakeholder engagement. She has co-authored academic articles, contributed book chapters, and delivered a TEDx talk on reimagining how we measure economic success. She was also a producer at the OpEd Project, championing underrepresented expert voices on the world's most pressing challenges.

A highly skilled facilitator and Vedic meditator shaped by a global upbringing, Mairi-Jane is a mother who believes the next generation of leaders has the power to build the world we all deserve.

Students will prepare and deliver sandwiches to our unhoused neighbors while making connections and sharing stories. This volunteer opportunity is organized through the Wesley Foundation at CU ��ý��, a campus ministry. Open to students of any or no faith/religious backgrounds. Participation is limited to 20 students. Lunch provided!

Join CESR and Corporate Sustainability leaders for a 3.5-hour workshop focused on the nexus of climate and innovation in a rapidly changing business context. Our keynote speaker, Mark Kroese, formerly served as the General Manager of Sustainability at Microsoft and oversaw the company’s $1 billion Climate Innovation Fund. Key topics will include the importance of innovation in generating growth and prosperity, AI’s impact on sustainability efforts, and broad implications for students’ career paths. Students will have the opportunity to self-select into one interactive workshop to tailor the bootcamp experience toward individual interests and goals.
