It was one year ago today that the CU ��ý�� aerospace department became Smead Aerospace Engineering Sciences, the result of a major gift from passionate CU ��ý�� supporters Ann Smead and her husband Michael Byram.

With support totaling more than $15 million, the family's support is setting CU ��ý�� apart from its aerospace peers. The Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences recognizes in honor of Ann and H.J. “Joe” Smead, a CU ��ý�� engineering alumnus, industry executive and Ann’s husband prior to his passing in 2003.
